How to Schedule an Interpreter to Join a Virtual Meeting

Interpreters must be scheduled in advance to join a meeting taking place on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or other conferencing platforms. Pre-scheduled consecutive interpreters are appropriate for small group meetings that are conversational in nature. For presentation-style meetings like webinars or board meetings, please contact your Alboum account manager to discuss options for simultaneous interpretation.

To schedule an interpreter:

  1. Login to alboum.interpretmanager.com with your username/password or using your SSO. If you do not have login credentials for the Alboum interpretation platform, contact your administrator or help@alboum.com.
  2. Click on the Appointments icon in left navigation bar and click on Create New Appointment.

3. Provide all required details (date and time, subject, language, meeting link, and contact information for any questions), then click Save.
4. You will see a pop-up confirmation, followed by an email with the request details. The new appointment will also appear on your dashboard.

To reschedule an appointment:

  1. Click on the appointment on the dashboard to open the Appointment Viewer.

2. In the top right corner, click on Edit.

3. A pop-up will appear, allowing you to update the start date and time, as well as the subject, description, and other details. When you’re finished making changes, click Update.

To cancel an appointment:

  1. Click on the appointment on the dashboard to open the Appointment Viewer.

2. In the top right corner, click on the three dots and then click Cancel.

3. Select a reason for cancellation and click on Submit.

4. You will receive an email confirming the cancelled request and the appointment will no longer show up on the Dashboard.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment less than 24 hours before the meeting start time, you must email help@alboum.com, as the system will not allow you to make changes directly. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or any no-show, will be billed at the full cost of the time reserved.
